I'm going start a new thread on this topic because I think this is the biggest problem with the new EP. I have been playing with the new EP installed for several days and feeling the way I do about EA it really pains me to say I think they did a very good job with the quality of this EP. I have yet to find a major bug and I have been looking for them. I visit all of the major sites and read the bug reports and most of the problems people are reporting can be traced back to two things. Computer hardware that is not capable of running the game and old mods they are using in their games. I make my own mods and I have over forty installed. The new EP broke thirty eight of them. Mods that have not been changed for almost two years are now broken. If I put them in my game will load and appears to run fine at first but with them installed I have seen all kinds of weird things. Sims disappear, Sims lose all of their relationships, the camera starts acting funny, and so on. When I pull them out I don't have any of those issues. So the bottom line is this. If you have any mods installed that have not be updated or checked you are living on the edge. Even if you have had the nod for years and it seems to work It can still cause problems. EA added a lot of new interactions with this EP and that's the reason so many of the mods are broken. The mods I'm referring to here are XML tuning mods not the script mods. Most people know they need to update those but sometimes they don't pay attention to the little mods. My game is running fine, if you are having problems try pulling all of your old mods

Yep, I found out that was my problem with my camera being so slow. Apparently I shouldn't update mods late at night because even though I downloaded the new version of the digsite fixer mod I somehow ended up with the old one in my new updated mods folder. :ph34r:/> Once I switched those out it behaves much better.

I had all my Sims lose all their relationships. No clue which mod did it, I yanked them all. Weird thing is is that the only mods I had were the mod that makes the baby bottles white instead of green and then a few of Twallan's mods. I put the bottle mod back (I think it's actually an object replacement instead of a mod :pardon:/> ) and everything runs fine. And all Twallan's mods were the ones already updated for Generations. Who knows, it may have just been my game being its usual annoying self!

I always take all my mods out and start a new folder altogether. Nothing goes in the new one until I get the updated mod or the nod from the maker of the mod. Luckily for me, most of mine are from Twallan and he gets his updated super fast.
Tess, I meant to say I didn't notice any problem with the camera. http://bearmtncreations4sims3.com/public/style_emoticons/default/snicker2.gif Just as well you found the problem so quickly.

I do the brand new folder thing too. My problem was having my old mods folder open as my checklist for which mods I was looking to see were updated at the same time I had my new mods folder open, plus the folder I download mods to. Somehow in my half asleep state I moved a mod from the old to new instead of from downloads to new. :kneeslapper:/>

Well you were one up on me. I left the whole sparkling new folder on my desktop the first time round.

I have been noticing some jerkiness with the camera but it is hard telling what that is since I left all my mods out.
I do the same Figwit, go to the creator and throw them all into a folder named "Insert EP Name" Mods folder and then start adding them as I find them to be updated. I've done the same Tessa when comparing to see what I've updated. I have also bookmarked their locations for creators that are on various sites which helps to find them again. :Smile:/>
