Lot Elevation Bug Here is a fix

You need to type in this cheat before you place the lot.
SetImportedTerrainOffset (value)
(value) Is a positive or negative number depending on whether the lot created a hole or a mountain.
After you place the lot check it before you press the accept button. If it is not level then press the cancel button and try it again. Positive numbers raise the lot and negative numbers lower the lot. You can use a decimal point to fine tune the elevation. If -2 lowers it too much try -1.5. Just keep typing the cheat before you place the lot, changing the numbers until you get it where you want it. It may take several tries but it's possible to get it level with the surrounding terrain using this cheat.
When you are done placing that lot if you plan to place more lots you need to enter the cheat and set the value back to zero.

If only the bug had happened to you six or more months ago. http://bearmtncreations4sims3.com/public/style_emoticons/default/crazysmile.gif

I'm going to see if I can find an old copy of that house and try this new method. If I remember though after late night this house caused a CTD so I'm not sure if an older one will work out. :growl:/>

ETA: Oh well, apparently it's too late for the Ottomas house - as soon as I tried to place it the game crashed. :(/>

Of course that was when I discovered the lot bug. I'm going to see if I can locate that saved game since I've moved many of those old ones to my external HD and try to get it in original form that way to try this method of fixing the elevation problem. Don't know if either of you by chance still have a saved game that will load and your families in the houses in your library that cause the CTD but its worth a shot. :Smile:/>

HB, :snicker2:/> you're so sweet. The information I passed on was what was there at the time. Now we have something better and I will be passing that around too. :dancer:/>

Rich this is so cool! Thank you so much! The other one was truly great for the time, except for houses that had basements- I can't wait to try this one out next time I have same problem!!!

I have one house that when placed has only one side that elevates. The other three are fine. Also have another lot that has two sides that have the problems but not the other two, so when using this method, the wrong ones are then ok but the others are messed-up.
Any ideas to that ?
