I made the world a while ago when, World Adventure, came out. It is my take on the sims 2 town of Strangetown, a town I loved to play. It is not wholly accurate but I tried to add all the elements that made up Strangetown.
This world comes with no features beyond World adventure. I think the only stuff pack I had at the time was, High End Loft. So if you don't have any of the other expansions or SPs this would is perfectly okay to play.
For those of you that would like this but want to tweak it to your own delusional visions, I will post the CAW files soon.
CAW files can now be found here. http://bearmtncreati...r-strangeville/

Anyway here is my Strangeville.

There are 26 lots.
20 lots with housing.
There are also lots of little treasures to explore.

I have to give a big thanks to Richdre, who helped me through the creative proses on this.
Also Trif for his lovely houses he build for this project.
Thanks too to my friends at CT and here that encouraged me and made suggestions as I built this world.

The original

There were only a couple of issues with this world. To fix any sprinklers in the game that are suck on effect, just delete and replace them. Also there are some routing problems in the master bedroom of the Smith house. Simply remove the plinths I used as side table and also shift the fireplace in that room.

Hope you enjoy this world.

:clapping:/> I am so pleased that you posted this. I loved this world and my sims spent many happy hours there. I still have it so won't be downloading again but I hope other people will see it and grab it because you did a really good job on it.

You are going to have to post your Dark Specter story now that Rose has this world here.

It would be lovely to see your story again SQ, if you still have it.

I wouldn't have bothered with this but people still seem to want it and some were having trouble getting into CT to get it. I'll post the characters I made too.

Thanks for the encouragement guys! :wub:/> I do still have the story and the pics, it would just be a matter of getting the two together in the proper order. Maybe this coming weekend I'll tackle it... :pardon:/>

I was just thinking about this town the other day! I was trying to brainstorm sims to create and I briefly thought about making the Strangetown ones (love the Curious brothers) but then I remembered you'd made them. :wub:/> And this beautiful world I've never had a chance to play. :snicker2:/>

I didn't think about that, but it's great that we have the complete set now in one place.
Tessa, I think you should make them too. I had a ball making mine and would love to see some more versions out there.
I am going to run my Strangeville sims through CAS, make sure there is no CC. then I will post them here too.

I hadn't thought about us having all of the original hoods from TS2 here either. That is really cool guys and thanks to Rose for graciously sharing her's here with us to make the set complete! :blow-a-heart:/>

I might make them if the bug bites. :snicker2:/> Though when I originally nixed that idea I started thinking of what other sims I might want to recreate and now my brain is stock on Riverblossom. I played that hood for quite awhile (Seasons was my first EP and it was months before I purchased others) so I still remember them fondly and there's some interesting stories with the sims. I also have an idea in my head for a bunch of teenage boys, so we'll see which I end up making first, whenever I get around to having time.

I never played Riverblossom, the characters from what I have seen are interesting though. I think Zola made a few of them. I still have to finish Desiderata valley. That damned bridge over the road threw me on that one. Should just get in there and fix it.
I mentioned that we had all three original hoods over at Custom Sims 3 and Regina is going to put them on the registry over there when she has the time.

I played Riverblossom hills for nearly the entire time I was into TS2. Played PV for about a month or so and then created my own hood at the end. There were some kookie characters in RBH but I soon deleted nearly all of them to add my own. It really reminds me a lot of Riverview which I believe is the TS3 version of that hood. There is a road named Riverblossom hills and a few other references to it in Riverview.

Wonder if some of the characters in Riverview are ancestors to the ones in RBH. Will have to check to see if there are any familiar names.

Thanks for adding that over at Custom Sims Rose. :big-hug:/>
